TYLER PERRY’S HIT OWN DRAMA SERIES ‘IF LOVING YOU IS WRONG’ RETURNS FOR SEASON THREE ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 AT 9 PM ET/PT

Tyler Perry’s popular OWN drama series  “If Loving You Is Wrong,”  returns for an anticipated third season on  Tuesday, September 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.   “If Loving You Is Wrong,” delves into the lives of neighbors and friends-turned-frenemies Alex (Amanda Clayton), Kelly (Edwina Findley Dickerson), Marcie (Heather Hemmens), Esperanza (Zulay Henao) and Natalie (April Parker-Jones). This season, the neighborhood that once was the perfect picture of suburban life has never recovered from the scandalous affair that tore apart two marriages, and jeopardized every friendship the couples held close.  The series also stars Joel Rush, Eltony Williams, Aiden Turner, Charles Malik Whitfield, Denzel Wells and Jay Hunter. The most recent season of “If Loving You is Wrong” (3/21/17 – 5/30/17) averaged over 2.3 million viewers and, year to date, is among the Top 6 original scripted series on ad-supported cable for W25-54.  It was the #2 original scripted cable series on Tuesday nights for W25-5

Shonda Rhimes and Shondaland come to Netflix

Prolific writer, producer and television hitmaker Shonda Rhimes is bringing her Shondaland production company to Netflix under a multi-year deal to produce new series and other projects. Longtime producing partner, Betsy Beers makes the move to Netflix as well. The move further unites Rhimes with Netflix. Marlon Wayans Stars in New TV Sitcom, Marlon

Loosely inspired by the real life of star Marlon Wayans ("In Living Color," "Scary Movie"), "Marlon" is a family comedy that centers on a loving (but immature) father committed to co-parenting his two kids with his very-together ex-wife.  While his misguided fatherly advice, unstoppable larger-than-life personality and unpredictable Internet superstardom might get in the way sometimes, for Marlon, family really always does come first — even if he’s the biggest kid of all.  The cast includes Marlon Wayans, Essence Atkins, Notlim Taylor, Amir O'Neil, Bresha Webb and Diallo Riddle. The series premieres Wednesday, August 16th on NBC.

HBO RENEWS BALLERS AND INSECURE

With both series seeing record viewership this season, HBO has renewed the comedy series BALLERS for a fourth season and INSECURE for a third season, it was announced today by Amy Gravitt, executive vice president, HBO Programming. “We’re thrilled that the summer lineup of BALLERS and INSECURE connected with our viewers out of the gate,” said Gravitt. “We're so proud to work with Dwayne, Issa and all of the amazing talent in both shows.” Looking at the whirlwind lifestyles and real-life problems of former and current football players, BALLERS stars Dwayne Johnson as ex-superstar Spencer Strasmore, who has reinvented himself as a financial manager for today’s players in sun-soaked Miami.
