'STEP' NOW OPEN IN SELECT THEATERS

From Sundance to Voguethe Lethal Ladies of the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women have won the hearts of the media with the new Fox Searchlight documentary, 'STEP.' Notables such as director Ava DuVernay, actresses Gabrielle Union and Angela Bassett and our Forever First Lady, Michelle Obama, have all fallen in love with this authentic portrayal of "Black Girl Magic."'STEP' documents the senior year of a girls' high-school step dance team against the background of inner-city Baltimore.  As each one tries to become the first in their families to attend college, the girls strive to make their dancing a success against the backdrop of social unrest in the troubled city.
'STEP' made several promotional appearances across the country this summer: at the 2017 National Step League Competition in Atlanta; at the 2017 MegaFest Conference in Dallas; at the Essence Festival in New Orleans and at various private screenings, such as in Brooklyn - hosted by Congresswoman Yvette Clarke - and Queens - hosted by the Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL).
'STEP' is directed by: Amanda Lipitz, and produced by: Amanda Lipitz, and Steven Cantor. The movie features: Blessin Giraldo, Cori Grainger, Tayla Solomon, Gari McIntyre, and Paula Dofat.
